A terrace level remodel that was completed by Handcrafted Homes, Inc. in 2015 was featured in the July 2016 issue of Atlanta Home Improvement.
The homeowners contacted us after seeing a basement renovation in a friend’s home and hearing positive feedback about working with Judy Mozen and Randy Urquhart. They felt that original design in their basement did not fit with the rest of the house, and they asked us to update the look as well as maximize their space while also adding a fireplace and a wine cellar.
A fireplace box was installed in the living room, and ledger tiles were cut from stone to create a stacked stone look.
The wine cellar was added underneath the stairs and features a custom made steel and glass door.
Other changes include patching and painting the knotty pine cabinets in the bar, adding a glass tile backsplash, and creating a fun recreational space with a poker table, air hockey table, dart board, and pool table.
